I've had a lot of Afghan food throughout my life so I was a little disappointed with the food here. I feel everything could use a little more seasoning. They only had one type of rice which is unusual at an Afghan establishment and it wasn't as flavorful. I tried the chicken seekh kabob, the chicken tikka, beef tikka and of these the chicken tikka was the most flavorful and tender - so I do recommend that. Also, the bolani was good. The burger was okay, I wish they used a more buttery bun. French fries are seasoned well and so crispy. And I will recommend the lentil and chickpea soup that comes as a side- both were simple yet very delicious. Overall, food is okay. I would eat here again if I'm in the area and need a quick Afghan fix.

This is our take-out review, from yesterday.
Decent menu selections. The variety of kebabs/kabobs leaves a place for improvement. We personally missed a broader selection of ground beef/chicken/lamb "seekh" kebabs. Their replacement, what Aryana proprietors call "kofta" is not exactly the same.
Budget-friendly pricing, almost. Definitely, somewhat cheaper than the original Afghan Kebab & Grill at Route 33.
The food tasted very good. The spiciness requirements were followed to the 'T', a big credit to the restaurant. The rice is very flavorful, and not too oily.
The portion size is more or less generous. The portions are not miniscule.
The naans are not really naans, sorry. There is no fluffiness inherent to naans. Their naans are more like a variety of their main bread product, pita.
All in all, 4 stars is a very good rating.

This place is an amazing hidden gem! Only have gotten the lamb and chicken gyros but it is fantastic. The seasoned fries it also comes with. 10/10. If I could jump into that fryer just to be with those fries I would. Who i assume is the owner, as we have seen him many times, is so kind and friendly. Highly reccomended going here.

The service was lovely and the food was delicious, the atmosphere really makes you feel you are having a meal in an Afghanistan home , I love how the lamb and rice were so well seasoned. The vegetables were an amazing compliment to the gyro platter. My girlfriend got some fries, they were well seasoned, crunchy and the outside and soft on the inside as well. If this is how they season the lamb I wonder how the cheese steak will taste I will definitely go back.
