I love visiting eateries that remind me not to judge a book by its cover. Or a restaurant by its rundown exterior and worn, no-nonsense decor.
"This looks like a place I would come as a drunk college kid," my husband mused when we first stepped inside.
True to his observations, the menu is rife with the kinds of deep fried goodies and artery-clogging sandwiches that are best meant for youthful bodies with optimal metabolism. We ordered a fun variety for ourselves - a meatball parm, a pound of buffalo wings, an order of curly fries, and - to balance things out - the harvest salad.
For those ordering sandwiches, know that they're enormous. A half order is an 11" deal, while the whole is a Brobdingnagian 22". Our half sandwich was great, and definitely more than enough for us to share.
We had few notes on anything we ordered. The curly fries were hot and crispy, the buffalo wings hot and tangy, and the meatball parm was just as expected. I was particularly surprised by the salad, which was just supposed to be a fresh and green counterpart to all the heavier foods. I would have been happy enough with some greens and a vinaigrette, but we had a pretty robust salad with blue cheese, chicken, and pieces of diced apple. I never would've expected to find a good salad at a place like this one, but there you go.
There are a few high tables and stools, but little else by way of ambiance. Clearly, the focus here is to eat and clear out. That said, service at the counter was incredibly warm and friendly. As far as parking goes, there are a few spots out front and even a few more behind the building.
I struggled with the number of stars here, because this isn't highbrow or fine dining. If that's what you're after, I'd definitely look elsewhere. But it's predictable, freshly prepared, and therefore perfect for a college town. If that's what you're expecting, this is your four-star spot.

Absolutely Marvelous!!
This cheesesteak restaurant was a revelation! The bread was perfect - soft and chewy on the inside with a delightful crispness on the outside. It cradled a mountain of thinly sliced ribeye, cooked to juicy perfection. Each bite was a symphony of savory flavors, the melty cheese and caramelized onions adding the perfect finishing touches. This wasn't just a cheesesteak, it was beautifully made.

First time trying this establishment. Food is mediocre at best. Doubtful I will try again. Cheesesteak was bland and not very hefty. I assumed, based on the name of the place, cheesesteaks were the way to go. The "cheese" that came with the lukewarm fries was some type of cheese like product; I'm pretty confident it will never go bad. The cookies I believe are a type of raisin and oats but had an odd flavor, for sure.

Was staying nearby and looking for a good sandwich/sub. I saw this place was closeby, had consistently good reviews and reasonably prices.
I arrived there around 6pm and the place was fairly empty. There is a parking lot but it is only big enough for a handful of cars to park and/or manuever.
Lots of sandwich options available in 3 sizes: 5" mini, 11" regular and 22" large. Prices averaged $6, $11 and $22 respectively.
I decided to go with a cheesesteak which was very good. I got some homemade cookies which were really great. They also have a variety of other desserts and soft drinks.
Open space with lots of tables and chairs.
The staff there are all really great. Very patient, helpful and attentive to the customers.
I hope to return during my next visit to the area to try some other sandwiches.

I had the pleasure of dining at Steak Hoagies, and I must say the experience exceeded my expectations. The owner is incredibly hardworking, preparing everything by hand and ensuring that every dish is made and cooked to perfection. You can tell the pride and care that goes into each meal. The Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak is a must-try—packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a meal, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
